The Research Behind the Cellular Health Program


The EB Supplements Cellular Health Program is inspired by the work of Samuel Fortin, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer at EB Supplements and inventor of MAG-O3® technology.


For more than 15 years, his research has focused on omega-3s, membrane health, cellular senescence and mechanisms associated with healthy aging.


Through his work, Dr. Fortin explores how targeted nutritional approaches may help support cellular vitality, cellular energy and biological mechanisms associated with healthy aging.

Proof of Concept: Ex Vivo Cellular Senescence Studies


Early exploratory work investigated several natural polyphenols in cellular models exposed to oxidative stress.


Among the compounds tested, fisetin, quercetin and EGCG emerged as some of the most promising for reducing markers associated with cellular senescence. These observations led to the development of the Fisetin+ formula, inspired by the experimental blend initially known as “The Cleanse.”


This research also highlighted the potential importance of the cellular and membrane environment in the response to these compounds.

Première étude exploratoire:  Fisétine+, quercétine et EGCG


Une étude de cas exploratoire menée chez un volontaire a observé une réduction des cellules sénescentes PBMC après un cycle court de supplémentation avec la combinaison fisétine, quercétine et EGCG. Les résultats semblaient se stabiliser après environ deux semaines, soutenant l’idée d’une approche cyclique plutôt qu’une prise continue.


Ces observations ont contribué à inspirer la structure courte de la Phase I du Programme Santé Cellulaire.

First Exploratory Study: Fisetin+, Quercetin and EGCG


An exploratory case study conducted in a volunteer observed a reduction in senescent PBMC cells following a short supplementation cycle using the fisetin, quercetin and EGCG combination. Results appeared to stabilize after approximately two weeks, supporting the concept of a cyclical approach rather than continuous use.


These observations helped inspire the short structure of Phase I of the Cellular Health Program.

L’effet MAG-O3®: Le rôle des oméga-3 dans l’approche séquentielle

Des travaux subséquents ont exploré l’interaction entre l’enrichissement en oméga-3 et la réponse observée avec les polyphénols sénolytiques.


Dans cette seconde étude exploratoire, une phase préalable de supplémentation avec MAG-O3® ayant permis d’augmenter l’Indice Oméga-3 a été associée à une réduction plus importante des marqueurs de sénescence cellulaire lors du cycle suivant avec la formule de polyphénols.


Ces observations ont inspiré le développement de l’approche séquentielle en deux phases du Programme Santé Cellulaire EB Supplements :

The MAG-O3® Effect: The Role of Omega-3s in the Sequential Approach

Subsequent exploratory work investigated the interaction between omega-3 enrichment and the response observed with senolytic polyphenols.


In this second exploratory study, a preliminary supplementation phase with MAG-O3® that increased Omega-3 Index levels was associated with a greater reduction in markers associated with cellular senescence during the following polyphenol cycle.


These observations inspired the development of the two-phase sequential approach behind the EB Supplements Cellular Health Program:
